Our History
Two companies, Suntrition and Biomedcore, both leaders in their
respective fields, merged with one goal in mind – to develop the
next generation of natural health products, products that would make
a difference in the outcome of chronic illness. Their vision? The
creation of innovative therapeutics and diagnostics that will enable
individualized health optimization.
Suntrition: Named one of the fastest-growing companies in Canada for four years straight. Certified by Health Canada as well as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Suntrition created unique and proprietary, evidence-based natural supplements – primarily in the form of tablets, capsules and powder formulations.
Biomedcore: A biotechnology company with proprietary diagnostics, Biomedcore added the science platform to the mix, giving the company more resources to meld science with advanced manufacturing. That brought into play a breakthrough proprietary technology that allowed for the testing of products tailored to the individual.
Today, acenzia represents that partnership, offering unparalleled scientific research, product development and advanced manufacturing services to the rapidly expanding nutraceutical industry.
We’ve come a long way since our story first began, growing from a small start-up in 2001 with two employees and 8,000 square feet of space, to a multi-million-dollar organization with connections around the globe.
Strategically located near the U.S. border between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan, acenzia provides easy global access for our clients’ products. Our state-of-the-art, pharmaceutical grade facility covers 36,000-square-feet and includes 20 clean rooms. Since relocating, we’ve gained the prestigious NSF International Good Manufacturing Practices for Sport registration, one of only a few companies in Canada to hold that title. In keeping with evolving consumer needs, we’ve expanded our array of delivery formats to include, among others, more powdered product choices. Now with 50 employees, we manufacture, label, package and ship a rapidly expanding number of these for major branded companies worldwide.

always be to set the standard for natural health product development
and contract manufacturing.
To this end, Acenzia is expanding into more powder-based products (sports drinks, functional foods and the like) and adding probiotics and fermentation technology to our ever-growing line-up of innovative capabilities.
